The LuxeMat Auto was developed for use in vehicles. Thanks to its unique with cut-outs on the sides, it fits perfectly in the car and makes the most of the available space - ideal for anyone who doesn't want to go without the sleeping comfort of home while travelling.
As with our classic LuxeMat, this version's cover is made of organic cotton and features an additional layer of wool insulation. Thanks to the moisture-regulating properties of both natural materials, the LuxeMat Auto offers excellent moisture management. The 3D construction, combined with a thickness of 10 cm, guarantees luxurious sleeping comfort. Horizontal air channels in the foam help to reduce weight and packing volume without compromising comfort. The mat is easy to grip and transport with the side handles.
The mat is self-inflating. You can use the included top-up pump to achieve the desired firmness. The large flat valves allow the air to be deflated quickly and easily. The robust ripstop material increases the longevity and durability of the LuxeMat Auto, and the cover can be easily removed and washed in the washing machine. Our Sidewinder Bag is also included for quick and easy packing.
EXPED calculates all climate emissions from the production and transportation of this product and finances certified climate protection projects through myclimate to an equal extent.
More and more EXPED products are made from recycled materials. Materials gained from previously made materials -such as PET-bottles or waste from the production of textiles.

R-value is a measure of thermal resistance. It indicates the efficiency of insulation by measuring its resistance to heat transfer. The higher the number, the slower the rate of heat transfer through an insulation.
In EXPED sleeping mats, higher R-values help sleepers retain the heat their bodies generate and the result is the pleasant and sometimes elusive condition called warmth.
Good to know: ISO-rated sleeping bags are tested with 7R mats. EXPED recommends using a sleeping mat with an R-Value of at least 6.5 or higher to ensure your sleeping bag provides the warmth it is rated for.

Warning Repair Kit
The glue in the repair kit contains solvents and is flammable! Keep it away from open flames and heat sources! Use the adhesive only in well-ventilated areas and avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes! In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical advice if irritation persists. Store the adhesive out of reach of children in a cool, dry place!
