Product Description

Huge, super comfy, really warm – the MegaMat Duo is the ultimate mat for base camp, a campervan or as a guest bed. The Duo version is perfect for adventures for two or as an extra-large, luxurious single mat.

The unique 3D construction ensures the largest possible sleeping surface. The core of the MegaMat Duo consists of 10 cm thick foam with exactly the right density for perfect support and optimum insulation. Horizontal air channels in the foam help to reduce weight and pack size without compromising on comfort. The MegaMat Duo features 30% larger foam channels for an even smaller pack size. The surface is made from soft tricot polyester for a comfortable feel against the skin.

The MegaMat Duo is self-inflating. The included Top Up Pump makes it very easy to achieve the desired firmness. Deflating is made easier by two large deflation valves. Thanks to the practical carrying handles on the sides, the mat is easy to carry. Also included in the pack are our handy Sidewinder Bag for quick and easy packing, as well as a repair kit.

R-value is a measure of thermal resistance. It indicates the efficiency of insulation by measuring its resistance to heat transfer. The higher the number, the slower the rate of heat transfer through an insulation.

In EXPED sleeping mats, higher R-values help sleepers retain the heat their bodies generate and the result is the pleasant and sometimes elusive condition called warmth.

Good to know: ISO-rated sleeping bags are tested with 7R mats. EXPED recommends using a sleeping mat with an R-Value of at least 6.5 or higher to ensure your sleeping bag provides the warmth it is rated for.
